The Wellbeing Framework is an initiative by the Tasmanian Government (Department of Premier and Cabinet) in collaboration with the University of Tasmania. It was created to engage all Tasmanians to contribute to a snapshot of the state’s wellbeing by participating in a survey. The insights and data collected would provide valuable markers of where the states’ wellbeing levels are and use these to inform future Government policies.

Inclusivity and diversity form the core idea of this identity. By taking a universal visual language approach, this creates a graphic device that speaks to all the genders, cultures, locations, ages, languages and backgrounds that make up the Tasmanian community.

By assigning a visual symbol to each wellbeing domain, we can create an identity that is also adaptable or ‘fluid’. The wellbeing symbols can be changed in the framework for different graphic device versions, application contexts or unique patterns can created to suit particular wellbeing topics.
