Heritage Honey
Nestled on a plateau in central Tasmania, are the bee hives of Heritage Honey. They are among the 800+ hives across the state producing award-winning, premium pure honey. On a beautiful sunny Tasmanian summer day, working with photographer Rick Eaves, we captured the a harvest with beekeepers, Peter and Trish Norris as the bees busily worked around us. Heritage Honey are particularly well known for their leatherwood honey range. These iconic trees have been saved from extensive clear felling and burning due to the dedicated protection campaigning by people like Peter.
Bees are easily one of the most fascinating, industrious and important creatures. It was a great experience to capture these moments in such a beautiful environment.
