RHH Redevelopment Signage
The Royal Hobart Hospital is currently undergoing an extensive redevelopment. This is being done in stages over several years, rendering certain high traffic access points around the hospital hard to find, or navigate through construction zones. The Tasmanian Government commissioned a series of temporary signage installations that serve to block pedestrian access to construction zones and clearly define shared pedestrian and vehicle zones, whilst providing wayfinding and redevelopment project information.
The signage has helped to define and brighten an otherwise dark and confusing environment for staff, patients and visitors to the hospital. Working with the initial art direction concept and a recent government brand style redesign, then after several site inspections, further design concepts and working with the signmakers, a series of signage installations were created, that have greatly improved the appearance and amenity of the site.
