Junction Arts Festival 2019
Junction Arts Festival captures and encourages the creativity, imagination and innovation that thrives in Tasmania’s arts communities. Connecting audiences with the most dynamic and innovative new work within the state, it is a staged in Launceston, Tasmania, over 5 days and nights in the first week of September to mark the transition from winter to spring. Junction is a platform for Tasmanians to socialise and reconnect after 'hibernation'.
Junction's festival heart is the fountain in Prince's Square. From here it radiates out to reveal and celebrate Launceston’s unique spaces, connecting audiences with the most dynamic and innovative new work within the state. Created in collaboration with Junction’s Creative Director Greg Clarke (former Creative Director of Sydney Mardi Gras) the identity for Junction Arts Festival 2019 translates the festival's bold and iconic heart into a bright, vivid celebration of the emergence of spring and the warmth and energy that comes with it.
