Pinnacle Village

In April 2024, Christian Homes Tasmania launched the Pinnacle Village Project, a resident-centred aged care facility dedicated to providing a “continuum of care” model and set new standards in Tasmania. Designed by Circa Morris-Nunn Chua Architects, the vision for Pinnacle Village is built on care, and the promise that living well should continue well into old age. The facility will provide a range of living options across one site; including independent living units, assisted living apartments, and a residential aged care facility. Pinnacle Village will also include a community hub with shared facilities for the neighbouring community, including a café, hairdresser, and meeting rooms. Understanding the importance of natural light and bringing the outside world in, means every room will have access to landscaped courtyards, or private green spaces. A colour and texture palette for the interiors was also developed in collaboration with the architects, to reflect geographic and environmental layers between the coast and summit of kunanyi/Mount Wellington.

Named for the site's extensive views of the iconic pinnacle of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, the Pinnacle Village identity was carefully designed after extensive strategic consultation with brand strategists Neighbourhood. Their insights created an insightful and robust platform to build the identity upon. Pinnacle Village’s overarching promise is ‘Where the good life lives on’. This is a commitment to living by and sharing the same values as our residents, the same goals and aspirations, and the same commitment to every resident living well into the future. The logo is a reference to the third age – of being in full bloom, in full maturation. It is strong yet soft, progressive yet balanced. The multiple graphic branches also denote different stages of care, that all branch from the same grounded belief systems. This simple, affable and approachable visual identity emulates a happy active senior with arms out-stretched. It also makes references to it’s environment – a feature in the Kingston area, a Eucalyptus obliqua flower becomes the symbol of Pinnacle Village.
