TasNetworks

TasNetworks keeps the lights on across Tasmania, delivering electricity to homes, businesses, and communities all over the state. They own and maintain the poles, wires, and substations that make up the power network, as well as the transmission lines that link Tasmania to mainland Australia. Beyond just keeping energy flowing, they’re focused on safety, reliability, and preparing the grid for a renewable future. From restoring power after storms to upgrading infrastructure for new technologies, TasNetworks plays a vital role in connecting people and powering progress, all while working to keep costs fair and the environment front of mind.

Formed in July 2014 from the merger of Aurora Energy's distribution network and Transend Networks' transmission network, TasNetworks required a new brand identity, starting with the logo. Inspired by TasNetworks’ engineer’s colour codes and an electrical sine wave, the logo inspired a number of TasNetworks’ brand elements. For a number of years I worked with TasNetworks to develop a variety of campaigns, expo displays and collateral for both public audience and internal use.
