Sydney International Piano Competition
The Sydney International Piano Competition is recognised as one of the world's great piano competitions. Presented in Sydney and broadcast live throughout Australia and internationally, it is held every four years, over a three-week period in July-August. A rebrand and collateral suite was created for ‘The Sydney’ to coincide with their 2016 competition. An already stellar event needed a beautiful and energetic identity to match the talent of its competitors. The logo is made up of 32 points – each representing a competitor. Taking the form of a grand piano viewed from above, the convergence of these points symbolises the 32 competitors traveling from all over the world to compete in the host city, Sydney. It also shows the very nature of competition – how 32 become one winner.
